Get Covered

18 October 2013 in For Healthcare | Comments (0)

Bill England of Enroll America explained how to get affordable health insurance on Thursday night.  Get covered for your health care with the new health insurance that is available under the Affordable Care Act.  Here are some fast facts:

  • Call the Health Insurance Marketplace at 1-800-318-2596, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to choose a health insurance plan and get covered.
  • All of the health insurance plans include hospitalization, doctor visits, prescription drugs, and preventive and wellness services.
  • Financial assistance from the government is available to reduce the cost of the health insurance that you choose when you enroll through the Marketplace.
  • You can enroll in the new health insurance from 1 October 2013 until 31 March 2014.  Health coverage starts on 1 January 2014.
  • If you already have health insurance then you are already covered, but the new health insurance might be better than what you have.
  • If you are covered by Medicare then the new health insurance is NOT for you.
